Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk County partnered with Juno Photo Productions to create an authentic image library showcasing compassionate in-home care, hospice services, clinicians, and patient interactions for marketing, recruitment, and brand storytelling.

The Challenge

Healthcare photography requires far more than creating beautiful images—it requires building trust. Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk County needed a custom library of authentic photography that reflected the compassion, professionalism, and personal relationships at the core of their organization.

Stock photography wasn’t an option. Their marketing team wanted real imagery featuring their clinicians, caregivers, patients, and families in genuine care settings that accurately represented the services they provide throughout Suffolk County.

Photographing in occupied homes and healthcare environments also presented unique challenges. Every location required thoughtful planning to respect patient privacy, work around active care schedules, and create a comfortable atmosphere where natural interactions could unfold. Our goal was to document meaningful moments without disrupting the care being provided, resulting in photographs that feel genuine rather than staged.

Our Approach

Every successful commercial production begins long before the cameras come out. Prior to the shoot, we conducted a location scout to evaluate each environment, identify the best natural light, determine equipment needs, and develop a detailed production plan. This allowed us to create an efficient shooting schedule while ensuring minimal disruption to patients, caregivers, and staff.

Casting was another important part of the project. To create authentic, relatable imagery, we partnered with Long Island Models and FFT Models to source talent that reflected the diverse communities served by Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk County. Working with professional talent alongside healthcare staff helped create natural interactions while maintaining a comfortable and respectful environment throughout the production.

On set, photographer Kevin Norris led the production with assistant John Montana, allowing the team to move efficiently between multiple locations while maintaining a consistent lighting style and workflow. We relied primarily on natural light, supplemented with portable lighting when needed, to preserve the warmth and authenticity of each home and healthcare setting.

In addition to creating a comprehensive library of still photography, we also captured video footage throughout the production. The final imagery was further enhanced using AI-powered animation techniques, transforming select still photographs into subtle motion graphics for use across websites, social media, and digital marketing campaigns. By combining photography, video production, and AI animation, we delivered a versatile collection of visual assets that will support VNSHS across multiple platforms for years to come.
